Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his enthusiasm in going back to the Premier League has diminished and he is willing to negotiate a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is currently midway through the four-year agreement he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the offseason of 2023.
The veteran forward has accumulated an impressive 103 goals in 106 matches for the German team, contributing them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which was the first significant trophy of his distinguished career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently mentioned that he would welcome to see Kane come back to England, where he needs 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England leader has now clarified that he is no longer as keen about coming back home as he once was, and would certainly consider prolonging his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could definitely see that," he stated.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so unfolds and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different chances and different moments happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five divisions, securing the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had avoided him until he won the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would feel after breaking his trophy drought, but now believes it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
